Worship

I count it a privilege to know Jesus Christ as my Savior and to spend my time on earth serving the Lord. I have been playing piano and other instruments in church since about the age of 12. I am currently serving as pianist for Government Street Baptist Church, but I have also directed choirs, arranged hymns, put together instrumental ensembles and praise bands, and led music for different age groups (age 5 – 95!). I love sharing the good news with others, and music is an awesome way to communicate God’s love or to comfort those in need.

I encourage people to serve the Lord through music. No matter what you do within the church, your ministry and service matters. Church musicians should build up the congregation so that their focus is on God and the edification of His kingdom. We must remember that our goal as the Body of Christ is to reach the world with the Gospel.

“Sing unto the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things.” –Psalms 98:1
